- Wimbledon Shorts Film Festival
Wimbledon's alternative film club, the WFC, hosts the third Wimbledon Shorts Film Festival. A great team from across the film industry are organising and judging the event and submissions are now open for everyone from experienced directors to first time filmmakers.
Wimbledon Shorts is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative work in film and video from around the world.

Entries will be judged by a panel of independent film experts. Deadline for submissions is the 14th April 2010.

- Chudleigh Film Society
Chudleigh Film Society is delighted to announce that they have been awarded £9,973 from the Big Lottery Fund Grant. The grant will enable the society to purchase their own projector and audio system, big screen and comfortable chairs. This will transform what was once a chapel into Chudleigh’s own cinema and to formally celebrate the award, CFS will be organising a special Movie Weekend at the start of their third season in September.

- Bridport's Film Festival, 'From Page To Screen' 2010
The 2nd annual event runs from the 3rd to the 9th of April 2010 at Bridport Arts Centre and opens with a presentation of Stanley Kubrick's rarely screened adaptation of the Anthony Burgess novel A Clockwork Orange, featuring a Q&A with expert Ian Hunter of De Monfort University.
After a week of activity that includes 19 events, the closing film will be the Bafta-winning An Education, a Nick Hornby adaptation of Lynn Barber's short memoir. Lynn Barber will be present for a discussion about the book and its on-screen incarnation.
