BFFS Student Cinema Conference

Want to start regular film screenings at your university or college but don’t know where to begin? Want to improve your current Student Cinema? Come along to the first BFFS Student Cinema Conference to get expert advice, see some great films and share ideas with other student cinema organisers from all across the country. The conference is being organised by a team of students from Sheffield Hallam University.
The event will take place on Saturday 21st April 2012 in The Void, within Sheffield Hallam University and will be a fantastic opportunity for both those from well established film societies, as well as students from universities and colleges that are considering setting up a film society, but are unsure of how to start.

Timings
Registration and refreshments will be from 10:00 - 10:30am. The day will end between 5.30-6pm, after which you are invited to join us for some networking and drinks. A full programme will be available closer to the date.

Panel Sessions
1. Getting Bums on Seats - A training session on publicity, advertising and programming featuring panellists from existing student cinemas and industry professionals.
2. How to Do Things Right and How to Build your Team - a two part training session covering the basics of setting up a student cinema, and how to build/ keep your volunteer team, featuring panellists from existing student cinemas and industry professionals.
