BFFS Scottish Group
The Scottish Group is always keen to welcome and support new members in the region. The group receives support from Screen Scotland and works with Regional Screen Scotland to encourage and foster collaboration between community cinemas and local arts organisations.
The group runs two Regional Viewing Sessions per year, typically spring and autumn. These are a great opportunity for community cinemas to meet with other exhibitors and see a fantastic range of diverse and cutting edge film.
As well as organising Viewing Sessions the group plays a pivotal role in developing new community cinemas across Scotland.
The group services on offer include:
- one-to-one visits to new groups, offering expert support and advice from people who have been there and done it
- advice on all aspects of operation including programming and hire of films
- training sessions and support on technical projection
- representation and advocacy at local and national levels
- fantastic networking opportunities
