Community cinema in action
In a series of focus pieces BFFS is pleased to offer film societies and community cinemas the opportunity to report on special events, educational activities, success stories and many other examples of cultural and community engagement. We hope that these pieces will provide a through the keyhole glimpse of community cinemas in action, illustrating the unique breadth and diversity of the community cinema sector as well as providing inspiration for other community cinema exhibitors.
Research and Intelligence
Screenings run by community-based providers represent an integral part of the UK’s diverse exhibition landscape. Yet how does this fit into the wider context of cinema exhibition in the UK? To learn more about the nature and content of the sector, each year BFFS conducts an annual survey of community exhibition across the UK.
